What plastic is used for cable ties?

Cable ties, commonly known as zip ties, are typically made from nylon, specifically nylon 6/6. This type of plastic is widely used because of its excellent properties, including:

1. High tensile strength: Nylon 6/6 is strong and durable, making it ideal for securing and bundling items.

2 Flexibility: It can withstand bending and twisting without breaking.

3. Resistance to abrasion and chemicals: Nylon 6/6 is resistant to many chemicals and environmental factors, ensuring longevity.

4. Temperature resistance: It can operate effectively in a wide range of temperatures, typically from -40°C to 85°C (-40°F to 185°F).

Some cable ties may also be made from other materials like polypropylene or polyamide for specific applications, but nylon 6/6 is the most common due to its balance of strength, flexibility, and durability.

In our factory, we use the high quality nylon 66 to make nylon cable ties, such as U4820L, INVISTA. And we make more different sizes of nylon cable ties than before, eg. T25110, T25130,C36150, C36300 etc.
